Old School Printer
Thought I'll paint a vintage typewriter today - cos i'm in love with the muted pastel colours of vintage stuff. This time it's the muted olive green of the Royal Typewriter - which again i missed with too much water wash.

Pretty in Pink
Inspired from Pinterest's collection of pretty pink desserts. The ice-cream was stupendously difficult to paint. Added my own flowers just cos i love painting them and obviously they are a wrong scale lol.

Vintage Scooter
Fancy flowers delivered to your doorstep on a vintage scooter? The Vespa was a pretty shade of baby blue but i didn't quite get the colour right.

Pig with daisies
I asked Jeff what i should draw today and he said pig. Added a mug of daisies on its head for sillyness.

Fashion.Flowers.Friday - faves!
Getting the hang of drawing random flowers from my imagination and it's been quite fun adding them to whatever i'm drawing that day.

Save The Date!
A few months back, the bride-to-be couldn't decide if it was to be a blue or pink theme for tomorrow's wedding hence she printed a mix of blue and pink cards!

Quotes on Print
Made print cards out of the boyfriend's random quotes.
Jeffism #01 ...his reply when i said i hated something.
Jeffism #02 ...on the fervent pacing when he's thinking.
Jeffism #03 ...this came out of nowhere but i thought it was sweet of him.

Fabulous Female Friendships!
Was inspired by a minimalist Amelie poster and thought i'll have some frivolous fun borrowing the idea! I wanted to change the text to read "the fabulous little miss (name)" and wrote "le fabuleux petit mademoiselle (name)" then i realised erm that might be too literal lol. And too bad i didn't have any french friend nearby to double check it.

Gave the layered city a coat of color!
I was thinking about colour palettes and how some colours instinctively go well together, like they belong to the same family; each colour is distinct and has its own identity yet there is a common thread running through all of them. I don't really know what it is and I wonder if there's any formula to it. Took out an old doodle of the layered city and had some random fun!

Still Life
Once in a while i feel like painting but there's a lot of inertia. Yesterday i tried painting a garlic and still life in watercolour is harder than i thought. Felt a little discouraged and gave up without completing it but when it started to dry out it looked more promising than when i was painting it. Nevertheless, i'm glad i attempted it.

New York City Travel Journal
I made a family travel journal for our New York trip in summer of 2012 as a present for my dad's 67th birthday this November. I've been using Blurb to publish my travel journals so far and switched to Photobook Singapore this time, thanks to Lin Min. I chose the 15x11 Large Landscape Imagewrap book and below are the cover (front & back) followed by sample pages i did for the 120 page book. I haven't seen the actual copy but dad and mom said they've received it and they love it very much! Very pleased :)
